Letter Praises
Work Pone by
Huronview Aux.
N. Drew, director of the
Provincial Homes for the Aged
Branch of the Ontario Depart-
ment of Public Welfare was
prompted to write a, rather coin
plitnentary letter to Huronview
Auxiliary president, Mrs. Louis
Forest after a recent visit to
the Huron home by Miss Grace
Lewis, supervisor for the branch
"It was particularly interest-
ing to note the imaginative
way your auxiliary provides the
residents with gifts at Christina;
either to keep or give as gifts
themselves," said Mr. Drew in
the letter,
This was a definite refer-
ence to the Christmas Fair set
for Dec. 0 this year. Church
members all over Huron Coun-
ty donate new articles suitable
for gift giving and auxiliary
members "sell" them at the
Christmas Fair to residents who
come to shop with play money.
A free gift wrapping service
is provided for those persons at
the home who want to give or
send gifts to friends and rela-
tives,
Five or six ladies from this
community, headed by Mrs.
Ross Gordon, will assist with
the gift wrapping.
It is possible, I suppose, to
live without books; but it is
scarcely possible to be alive
without them,
