Sunday accompanied her (laugh-

Bennett to London, Mr. and
Mrs. Bennett visited Sunday
with her sister, Mrs. Tom
Jamieson and Mr, Jamieson.
We are sorry to report that
the infant daughter of Mr, and
Mrs. Walter Moore had to be
admitted to Viotoria Hospital,
London, on Saturday.

on winning a Student Aid Bur-
sary at the commencement ex-
ercises Friday evening at Wing -
ham District High School.
Douglas is now attending
Guelph University and spent the
week -end with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Bieman.
Mrs. Maud Haggitt is spend-
ing this week with her sister-
in-law, Mrs. Alfred Haggitt of
Blyth.
Mrs. Irene Paterson spent
the week -end with her brother,
Mr. Charles Taylor and her
mother, Mrs. W. A. Taylor at
Brucelea Haven, Walkerton.
Mr. Ken Paterson was re-
leased on Sunday from Wing -
ham and District Hospital and
accompanied his daughter,Mrs.

Canadian Legion, placed the Legion's wreath on Remem-

Presbyterian W,M.S. met at
the home of Mrs. Russel Ross on
Remembrance Day. Sixteen
members and three children
were welcomed by the presi-
dent, Mrs. V, Emerson, who
also read appropriate poems,
"Asleep in Langmark Wood"
and "Legacy".
Mrs. Ross read Scripture and
the meditation was given by
Mrs. Wallace Conn. Mrs. John-
ston Conn led in prayer.
Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw spoke on
"Remembrance . She stated
that while everyone wants a
peaceful world, selfishness
creeps into our lives and causes
wars. This would not occur if
people truly followed Jesus' in-
structions, "Love one another:
Mrs. Laidlaw asked her lis-
teners to pay honor on Remem-
brance Day to the memory of
those who lost their lives in two
wars, and also to remember
those who lie in hospitals be -

The Ladies' Aid meeting fol-
lowed, The financial report
was given by Mrs, MacDonald.
The work committee reported
and Mrs. Robert Ross gave the
ladies $15.00 for quilting and
it was decided to do another
quilt at the home of Mrs. 1.

vember 22.
SLEEPY TIME PALS
WINGHAM—Nine members
were present for the sixth meet-
ing for which Esther Fish presid-
ed. Minutes were read by Don-
na Hardie and Linda Hutton will
give the minutes at the next
meeting, to be held on De-
cember 1,
Each member made samples
of sewing lace, monograms and
buttonholes, They were assist
ed by the leaders.
