NATHANIEL STEELE who has been crippled with arth-
ritis for five years, is a perfect example of why the pub-
lic is being asked to contribute to the Canadian Arthritis
and Rheumatism Society this week. Nat, as he likes to
be called, was suddenly struck with the disease when he
worked in Sarnia as a painter. A native of Wingham, he
saw war service, and worked at his profession following
the war until arthritis disabled him. He has spent four
of the five years in a wheel chair. He is in constant
pain and has been in and out of hospital so many times
he has lost count. Nat and his wife are living in the
Wilkinson apartments, just off the main street.
