Conveners, Mrs. Harold Procter, Miss Margaret Curtis. Mrs. Arthur Jackson will give "An Easter Message". Lunch by Mrs. Harold Procter, Mrs. Robert Purdon, Mrs. Fred Cook. Mrs. Irene Jones of London visited for a few days last week with her father, Mr. Jack Mc- Callum. The Explorers and Messen- gers will hold a bake sale on Saturday, April 17 at 3 p.m. in the United Church basement. Mrs. Carl Procter is a patient Mrs. A. Coultes Leads Discussion BELGRAVE-The Afternoon Unit of the U.C. W. met Wed- nesday in the church basement with 12 members present. The secretary's report was read by Mrs. Ross Robinson and the trea- surer's report by Mrs. Helen Martin. There were 12 hospital and 13 home visits to the sick and shut-ins recorded. Call to worship was given by the leader, Mrs. Earl Ander- son followed by prayer. Mrs.J. M. Coultes read the Scripture and an Easter meditation was given by Mrs. Herb Wheeler. The Bible study was conducted by Mrs. Albert Coultes in the form of a question and answer and discussion period. Mrs. Williard Armstrong had charge of the study book on Brazil. Reports of the Presbyterial held in Seaforth in March were given by Mrs. Helen Martin, reporting for the morning ses- sion and Mrs. Stanley Cook for the afternoon session. The speaker for the after- noon was Rev, H. W.McKerwill and his theme was "The Church in the Changing World". A hymn and prayer closed the meeting. in the Wingham and District Hospital. Roy Mundy will show his slides of the West in the United Church on Sunday. April 25 at 8 p.m. The Hi -C Group will be in charge of the worship ser- vice. This evening will be sponsored by the 5th line group of the U, C. W. Mr. Lloyd Henderson and Dean of London spent Saturday with Mrs. Richard Procter and Joyce. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Procter spent the week -end in Toronto visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Speakman and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Currell and Judy of Etobicoke spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fear and family. Mr, and Mrs. Goldie Wheeler and family visited for the week- end with Mrs. Herb Wheeler. Mrs. Ralph McCrea and Mau- reen of Blyth, Mrs. Winnie Smith, Mrs.James Lamont and Donelda visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs, Lorne Harmer of Fullerton. Mrs. Cora McGiII Is Guild Hostess BELGRAVE-The Ladies' Guild of Trinity Anglican Church met at the home of Mrs. Cora McGill on Thursday. President Mrs. Clare VanCamp gave the opening prayer and the Lord's prayer was said in unison. Mrs. Jack VanCamp read the Scripture lesson. Minutes were read by Mrs. Richard Procter and Mrs. Coop- er Nethery gave the financial report. A letter of thanks was read from the Ontario Hospital, Goderich. An invitation was re- ceived from the U.C.W. to at- tend the Hobby Carnival and the ladies enjoyed a letter from Mrs. Robert Meally. Plans were made for the laymen's banquet on April 21. The roll call was Hairdresser Is Speaker at CGIT BELGRAVE-The C. G. I. T. group met in the church base- ment on Thursday. Mary Ellen Taylor led in games while the senior group worked on copper craft. President Wendy Fear opened the meeting. The sec- retary's report was read by Audrey Coultes and the treas- urer's report by Marilyn Tay- lor. The Sunday school and church attendance were rect,rd- ed. In charge for the next meet- ing on April 20, worship, Rhonda Fear; sing song, Sandra Procter; games, Brenda Van - Camp, Mrs. Arthur Jackson intro- duced the guest speaker, Miss Shirley Baird, hairdresser from Wingham. She demonstrated hairstyling and manicuring with Mary Ellen Walsh as her model. Mary Ellen thanked her, and Mrs. Cliff Logan pre- sented her with a gift from the girls. A sing -song was led by Audrey Coultes. Nancy VanCamp was in charge of the worship, assisted by Rhonda Fear. Nancy gave the call to worship followed by the hymn, "Lord of Our Life". Nancy led in prayer. Scripture was read by Rhonda and Nancy read a meditation and closed with a hymn. MRS. WEBBER, 81 LAKELET-Mrs. Samuel Web- ber celebrated her 81st birth- day quietly at her home near Lakelet on April 9. Although her health does not permit an active life, she enjoys tele- vision and keeps abreast of the times. Many happy returns to the day! answered by "What Is the Bible?' A white elephant sale was held with Mrs. Jack VanCamp as auctioneer. Mrs. Richard Proc- ter won the monthly draw. The meeting closed with prayer and lunch was served by the hostess. MRS. MUNDELL'S Grade II pupils were featured in a set of action songs entitled "Singing Games" at the Fri- day night concert, The children sang two numbers "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and "Shoemaker's Dance." Play Presented At U.C.W. Meeting BELGRA VE -The Easter Thankoffering meeting of the U.C.W. was held on Sunday evening in the church. Mrs. Ted Fear conducted the wor- ship service and gave the call to worship, followed by a lit- any. "Hail, Thou once Des- pised Jesus" was sung. Scrip- ture readings were read by the people and the leader. An Easter meditation was read by Mrs. Feat. The offering was re- ceived by Mrs.James Coultes and Mrs. George Michie and a hymn and benediction closed the worship. Mrs. Leslie Bolt, president, conducted a short business meeting. Mrs. George Michie gave the financial report. A motion was passed to hold a garden party. A work bee will be held in the church basement on Monday, April 26. Mrs. Stanley Cook read the Scripture to introduce the play, "He Came Seeing".Those tak- ing the leading parts were Lorne Campbell, Mrs. Cliff Logan, George Johnston, Mrs. Ross Anderson and .Ross Robin- son. The neighbours were Mrs. Arthur Jackson, Mrs. Ross Robin- son, Mrs. George Johnston and Brenda, Nancy and Doreen Anderson. Following the play benediction was pronounced by Rev. Arthur Jackson. Weekly Euchre BELGRAVE-The Euchre Club met in the Community Centre on Wednesday. Six tables were in play.
