A NEW BRIDGE will be built this year by
Morris Township on the second concession
near the Stone School. The existing struc-
ture was built in 1912, following a flood
which took out an old bridge. The new
span will be built about 80 rods up stream.

Mrs. F. R. Mills Resided Here
Many people in Wingham
and area were saddened to hear
of the passing of Mrs. F. R. Mills
on Sunday, March 21, in Bir-
mingham, Michigan. Mrs. Mills
made a number of warm friends
here while her husband served
as resident general manager and
executive vice-president of the
Berry Door Co. Ltd. in 1958
and 1959. Their residence in
Wingham terminated when Mr.
Mills was called back to the
home office of the parent com-
pany to assume higher execu-
tive responsibility early in 1960
Mrs.Mills (Bonnie to her
many friends) was born in Bay-
ard, Florida and spent most of
her life in the southern states
until moving with her husband

1952.
While in Wingham, Mr.and
Mrs.Mills were faithful mem-
bers of St. Paul's Anglican
Church and she took an active
part in the Altar Guild.
Public funeral service was
held on Wednesday of last week
at the Church of the Incarna-
tion (Episcopal), 10331 Dexter
Avenue, Detroit, with private
interment in the family plot in
Birmingham.
Besides her husband she
leaves two sons and three dau-
ghters, Mary of Albany, Georgia;
Frances of Union Lake, Michi-
gan; Jean of Birmingham; John
of Oak Park, Michigan; and
Joe of Birmingham. There are
17 grandchildren.
The sympathy of many
Wingham friends goes to Mr.
Mills and family in their sad
bereavement.
Justin Will Was
Howick Farmer
GORRIE-Justin Will, 63, of
Blytheswood, died Tuesday,
March 23 in Leamington Dist-
rict Hospital. He had been in
failing health for some time.
A farmer, he had lived in
the Wroxeter community. He
moved to Blytheswood in
March, 1964. Surviving are
his wife, the former Vera Diet
rich; three sons, Glen and Al-
lan of Kingsville and Leslie of
RCAF station, Trenton; one
daughter, Mrs. Walter (Mary)
Renwick, Clifford, RR 1;three
sisters, Mrs. Elson(Rachael)
Riley of Mersea Twp; Mrs. Jo-
seph Gillander, Windsor and
Mrs. Phoebe Townsend of Ilder-
ton. There are 11 grandchild-
ren.
The funeral was held Friday
afternoon at the Smith funeral
home, Leamington. Burial was
in Evergreen Memorial,Park,
Leamington.
David Mooney
Buried at Gorrie
GORRIE-Funeral service was
conducted Monday, March 22
for Daniel Patrick Mooney, 61,
of RR 2, Gorrie. Rev. George
A. Anderson of St. Stephen's
Anglican Church officiated.
Mr. Mooney died Friday at
the Joseph Brant Hospital, Bur-
lington. He was a millwright
and was born September 23,
1903 in Toronto.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Mildred Carr; two sons
Daniel of Windsor and Howard
at home, and one grandchild.

dian Bible Society was guest
preacher at St, Stephen's Angli-
can Church on Sunday morning
He told of the work of the Bi-
ble Society in translating the
Scripture in the languages of
all people and thus aiding mis
sionaries in their work.

Rainbow Club
The Rainbow Club held its
last euchre of the season last
Friday evening in the town hall,
There were 19 tables in play.
This week's high winners
were Mrs. Robert Powell, Mrs.
Eva Ritchie playing as a man,
and Allan McGill. Mrs.Jessie
Balfour and Stewart McBurney
were low.
Mrs. Inez McGill had the
lucky cup and saucer, Mrs. W.
C. Murray won the ladies' draw
and Jack Burchill won the draw
for the men.
Receive Word of
Brother's Death
BELGRAVE-Mr.and Mrs.
James Lamont received word on
Monday of the sudden passing
of Mr. Lamont's brother, W. O,
Tom Lamont of Mont Atica,
Quebec. He was in his 47th
year.
He leaves to mourn besides
his wife Dorothy, his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Lamont of Manson,
Man. , and four brothers and
two sisters.
Arrangements for the mili-
tary funeral are incomplete.
Brother Dies
In 90th Year
William Thomas Smith, 90,
of Lucknow died Saturday at
Wingham Hospital.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Allie Ross, a sister,
Mrs. James (Jessie) Archer of
Chesley, and five brothers,
Alex of Detroit, James of
Wingham, Edwin of Edmonton,
and Roy and Victor, both of
Tara.
The body rested at the Mac-
Kenzie funeral home, Luck -
now where the funeral service
was conducted Monday at 2 p.
m. Temporary entombment
was in South Kinloss Mauso-
leum.

John T. Goodall, barrister
and solicitor of Wingham, ad-
dressed the Life Underwriter
Association of Saugeen at the
Royal Inn in Harriston. Presi-
dent Wilford Caslick chaired
the noon luncheon meeting.
Mr. Goodall's address, "A
Lawyer Looks at Life Insurance"
included several recentchanges
in law in the area of income
tax, gift tax, succession duty
and estate tax. He stressed the
advantages for those informed
on ownership of life insurance
policies who are able to pass
such information on to their
clients. The speaker explained
the proper disposition of various
kinds of property, including
life insurance policies, and
the kinds of life insurance trusts
such as Irrevocable Trust.
Mr. Goodall was introduced
by W. B. Conron of Wingham
and Bert Disch of Walkerton
expressed appreciation for the
address.
