Mr. Frank Stockhill of Tim- mins and his father, Mr, Vernon Stockhill of Powassan, arrived here on Friday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Morrison. On Saturday they left for home, accompanied by Mrs. Frank Stockhill, Harold, Kenneth and Connie who were here last week on account of Mrs. Mor- rison's illness. Mr. Percy McClenaghan, accompanied by two friends, left on Sunday by car for Dor- set, near Algonquin Park, where they will attend the forestry school to train. This community a xt ends sympathy to Mrs. Lillian Mc- Clenaghan in the sudden pass- ing on Saturday of her brother, Mr. Beth Gaunt of Wingham, and to other relatives. He was well known in this community and worked for farmers in this area, some of whom were .the late John Gillespie, Frank Caul ter, Jack Craig and the Dept. of Highways under supervision of Gibson Gillespie, He was of a friendly, cheerful disposition and loved to visit his former friends.
