Clark gathered at Danny's Din -
!dig Room, near Wingham, for
dinner on Saturday to celebrate
his 90th birthday. Children,
grandchildren and great grand-
children were present from To-
ronto, Weston, Scarboro, Ag-
incourt, Stouffville and Wrox-
trter.
Later in the day they all ga-
thered at the home of his son,
Vern, where he opened his
gifts and out a large birthday
cake, presented to him by
Brown's Bread of Toronto,
where his son George is a sup-
ervisor,
He is of keen mind, witty
and has excellent eyesight but
his getting around is limited.

Anniversary at
Belmore Church
DELMORE-Large crowds at-
tended the 30th anniversary of
the Presbyterian congregation,
when it held special services on
Sunday, September 13th at 11
a.m. and 7:30 poll. Rev. R.
U. McLean of Clinton was the
guest speaker.
During the morning services
the senior choir, joined by
some junior choir members,
sang two anthems, "Hosanna
We Sing" and "Like As A Fa-
ther Pitieth His Children". The
guest soloist was Gordon Leg-
gatt of Wingham,
In the evening service, "All'
Nature's Works His Praise De-
clare" and "Psalm of Trust"
were the two anthems sung by
the combined choirs. Mrs. Al-
vin Mundell is church organist.
Mr, and Mrs. Elmer Zinn
and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jeffray
were in charge of the floral ar-
rangements.

For MAO Meeting
WROXETER•-The regular
meeting of the Huron County
Chapter of the R. N.A.O. was
held in the community hall
here on Thursday evening,
Mrs. Merlene Thornton open-
ed the meeting and conducted
the business session. A report
was given by Mrs. Vivian
Thompson on the progress of
the Workshop to be held in
Clinton late in September.
Mrs, Agnes Lane introduced
the guest speaker, Miss Sarah

ed from two weeks' vacation

Recalls Childhood
WROXETER-The Women's
Institute met at the home of
Mrs. J. H. Wylie on Monday
afternoon with Mrs. Wm.
Wright in the president's chair.
She welcomed all present.
The motto, "Wisdom is in
knowing when to speak your
mind and when to mind your
speech", was prepared by Mrs.
J. Simmons and read by Mrs.
T. Burke. The roll call,
"Something I Would like to
learn to do" brought an excel-
lent response.
The topic, "A Book Review'
was taken by Mrs. J. H. Wylie.
The book, "Home Brew and
Patches", by Harry J. Boyle
took everyone back to child-
hood days. It was humorous
and very interesting.
A miscellaneous sale was
conducted by Mrs. Wm. Wright
and Mrs. T. Burke. The pro-
ceeds were very gratifying.
Mrs. Harvey Timm thanked all
the ladies who helped to make
the meeting a success.
