FORDWICH—Mr. and Mrs.
Norman Harding were pleasant-
ly surprised last week when
neighbours and friends gathered
at their home to bid them fare-
well before they left to take up
residence in Fordwich.
The couple was presented
with a TV swivel chair. Mr.
and Mrs. Harding thanked
everyone and a social time was
spent during the evening and
lunch was served.

Euchre Party
WHITECHURCH—On Friday
evening a progressive euchre
party was held at Currie's
school with 12 tables in play,
under the supervision of Mr.
and Mrs. Ed. Walker and Mr.
and Mrs. John L. Currie.
Prizes went to high lady,
Miss Annie McKinnon; second
high, Miss Ruth Taylor; high
man, Mr. Jim Currie; second
high, Lorne Scott. Special
draw prize was won by George
Grigg. The next party will be
held in two weeks, Jan. 10th,
under the supervision of Mr.
and Mrs. Lynn Morrison and Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Dawson.

AFTER TWENTY YEARS

meeting of S. S. No. 9, Mur -
ray's School, was held in the
school on Thursday evening.
Russell Gaunt, who had been
secretary -treasurer for twenty
years, resigned and Mrs. Hunt-
ley Dawson accepted this of-
fice.
Eugene Conley was the re-
tiring trustee. Newly -elected
was Lorne Wall.

carol singers Tuesday evening.
The singers realized $8.50 in
donations from those whom
they cheered.
Christmas guests with Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Swan were his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
Swan of Bervie and her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Robert McNall of
Lucknow. It was the occasion
of Mr. and Mrs. Swan's 19th
wedding anniversary and Mrs,
John Swan's birthday. Mr. and
Mrs, Lloyd McNall and Mr,
Norman Stewart were guests at
the Swan home on Thursday.

brated his 95th birthday. He
now resides at Gowdy's Even-
tide Nursing Home, Kitchener.
