P. A. SPOTTON MEMORIALS LIFE-LONG RESIDENT W J. Henderson Buried Friday A well-known resident of this community, William Jos- eph Henderson, died on Tues- day, December 17 in the Wing, ham District hospital. Mr. Henderson, who was in his 90th year, was born in Mor- ris orris Township, on the Crown Deed farm of his father on the Bluevale Road, which is now operated by Mr, Henderson's son, Thomas. His parents were the late Thomas R. Henderson and Charlotte Gray, He attended Wingham and Bluevale schools and took up farming, which he made a life- long occupation. Deceased was married twice. His first wife, Jane Taylor of Morris, died March 24, 1918. She was the mother of his two sons, Thomas R, and W. Geo. Henderson. On June 17, 1919, he mar- ried Margaret A. Stewart of Galt, who predeceased him in 1957. Mr. Henderson is survived by his two sons, seven grand- children and a sister, Margaret (Mrs. Matthew Esdale) of Win- nipeg. Five brothers and three sisters predeceased him, Rev. Gordon L. Fish, min- ister of St. Andrew's Presbyter- ian Church, of which Mr. Hen- derson was a member, officiat- ed at the R. A. Currie and Sons funeral home on Friday after- noon for the funeral service. The pallbearers were Murray Jenkins, George Tervit, Geo. Fowler, Joe Schneider, Ed- ward March and Ted English. The flower bearers were Paul Stewart and Charles Henderson, both of Hamilton, Donald Nick- erson of Niagara Falls and Clark- son Martin of Galt. Mildmay Bantams Take Second Game The Mildmay Bantams chalked up an 8-3 victory over the Wingham squad last Thurs- day night in the game at the Mildmay arena. This was their second win over the Wingham lads. Brian Walden got two of the goals for Wingham and Robert Armstrong got the third. Everyone was dress- ed up with their Christmas holly and all in the Spirit of Christ- mas. Shirley Storey celebrat- ed by taking the high single with 270 and also the high double with 425. Joe Schneider took the men's high single with 225 and as well the high double with 415. There were some changes in the standings, courtesty of Shir- ley and Joe: Hurons 64; Sioux 61; Crees 58; Iroquois 55; Apa- ches 36; Mohawks 30. Our thanks to Vicki Wild and Jack Walker for filling in to- night. We had a very enjoyable evening at the Legion Hall. Good music, good dancing, good cards and delicious food. LADIES' LEAGUE On Wednesday night the Ladies' League Bowling League held its annual turkey bowl. Nora Finnigan was the winner of the ticket draw.
