men's Institute meeting was
held in the Corr•:.:.nity Memor-
ial Hall here on Tuesday eve-
ning. As it was family night

GORRIE—The November
meeting of St. Stephen's Eve-
ning Auxiliary was held on Wed-
nesday at the t.m e of Mrs.
George Andersen. The presi-
dent, Mrs. Bill Sennett, presid-
ed. The meeting was opened
by the Members' prayer follow-
ed by the Lord's prayer. Scrip-
ture was given by Mrs. Olive
May.
Minutes of the last meeting
were read by Mrs. Perry Strong
and the treasurer's report was
given by Mrs. Harry Zimmer-
man. A donation was taken
from the funds to complete pay-
ing for the projector which was
purchased for the Sunday School.
Plans were completed for the
Christmas bazaar which is to be
held Nov. 23. Roll call was
answered with a bazaar poster.
There were ten members and
four visitors present.
The meeting was closed with
prayer. Lunch was served by
Mrs. Bruce Bennett, Mrs. Jack
Bennett and Mrs. George An-
derson.

Mr, Ackert had attended the
Boy Scout Marathon Jamboree
held Aug. 1-11 in Greece.
While arranging the projector
he played the song they heard
every morning at 6:30 a.m. His
Illustrated travelogue and hu-
morous
address was educatif1! ;
Inspirational and entertaining.
The pictures were exceptionally
clear. The audience was re-
minded of the 26 Phillipean
boys whose plane crashes into
the ocean. Scouts were preser,
from 8'7 countries. The display"
consisted of slippers, dolls ex-
hibiting men's and women's
costumes, a cap with wild boars
teeth, mug, cow bell, suitcase
and many more souvenirs.
Mrs. Dan Tiffin thanked Mr.
Ackert and presented him with
a gift.
