Mock of Harriston. Mr, and Mrs. Robert Helm of Ashfield visited an Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Why - Robert and Graeme Johnston of Turnberry spent a few days last week at the home of their uncle, Mr. Walter Shortreed of Walton. On Sunday, they and their parents, Mr. and Mrs, Elgin Johnston, and Mr, and Mrs. Robt. Johnston, Wingham, visited with Mrs. L, Lamb and her daughter, Mrs. Christensen and family, at a cottage at Bruce Beach. Miss Jessie Finlayson of Clarkson spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Alex Leaver and with other friends in this district, Mrs. Wm. R. Davidson of Port Colbourne is visiting with Mr, and Mrs. Alex Leaver and with Wingham relatives. Mr. David Gibb purchased a house in Wingham and had it moved to a lot between the home of Mrs. W, R. Farrier, and the Watt home. Mr. and Mrs. Rawn and family, who have lived in the former Fred Davidson home, purchased the former Dawson house on Con. 2 of Kinloss and moved there last week. Mr, and Mrs. Bernie Bragg and children of Toronto spent last ween with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daw. Miss Helen Currie accomp- anied Mr. and Mrs, Don Camer- on and Sandra on a two weeks' trip to River Beaudette, Quebec, and Joan Currie is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Weitz of Walkerton for a few days this week. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Currie and family and Miss Leah Currie visited on Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Eric Elliott and family at their cottage at Wasaga Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mrs. Kenneth Laidlaw, Joyce and Diane of London, spent Wednesday with her par - eats at Lucknow, and with Mrs, Jas. Laidlaw. Miss Ann Walker of Toronto spent the week -end with Mr, and Mrs, Ronald Jamieson. Mrs. Cecil Snider and her daughter of Ayr, and Mrs. Wellings, Wingham, visited on Friday with Mr. and Mrs. George Walker. Mrs. Brown of Guelph and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Cyril of Kincardine visited at the Walker home on Sunday. Mr, and Mrs, Chas. Martin, Mr. Bert Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Appleby at- tended the funeral of their Snapdragons decorated Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Formosa for the wed- ding of Frances Alberta Hen- hoeffer and Francis Anthony Schlosser of Kitchener, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Anthony J. Haes. The bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Theodore Hen- hoeffer of R. R. 1 Formosa and the groom is the son of Mrs. Ignatius Schlosser of R. R. 3 Walkerton and the late Mr. Schlosser. Mr. Henhoeffer gave his daughter in marriage, who chose a formal Chantilly lace gown with lily -point sleeves, sabrina neckline and bouffant skirt with nylon lace falling into a chapel train. A crystal crown held her shoulder -length double tiered veil of nylon tulle and she carried a prayer hoo,< crested with red roses, stephanotis and ivy. Her sister, Marlene Hen- hoeffer of Kitchener, was the maid of honor. Her dress was pink nylon and she wore a pink headdress of pink roses. She carried a bouquet of white Shasta daisies and pink mums. Another sister, Ruth Hen- hoeffer, was bridesmaid and was dressed in identical attire as the maid of honor. Carol Detzler, a cousin of the bride of Waterloo, was the flower girl. She wore a white nylon dress and carried a nose- gay of pink roses and stephan- otis. Douglas Schlosser of R. R. 3 Walkerton, brother of the groom, was the hest man. The ushers were Ronald Henhoeffer, brother of the bride and Larry Simanto of Guelph. Bruce Flenhoeffer, brother of the bride, was ring bearer. Dinner was served at the Formosa Community Hall to 60 guests, and a reception followed in the evening, The reception was attended by 400. The bride's mother wore a green figured dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink and white roses, The groom's mother wore a brown and beige figured dress with beige accessories. 1ie•r corsage was white roses. Mr, Scholtz has been under the doctor's care during the past week and unable to be at his work, "Young" relatives in this district held a family reunion in Wingham Park on Sunday last, Mr, and Mrs, E. H. Gros- korth were in Toronto last week and attended the Exhibition on Saturday, They visited with her mother, Mrs, Fred Bagg of Willowdale, who accompanied them home to the village to spend a week here. Mr, and Mrs, George Fisher, Sandra and Doris, spent last week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lougheed of Peter- borough. Mr, and Mrs. Wm. Gibson and children of Ashfield visited at the Fisher home on Sunday. Mrs. John Mason of Port Credit spent last week at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Kenneth Mason and Mr. Cecil Skinner of Exeter visited at the Mason home on Saturday. All visited with Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Anderson of Kippen on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs, Robt. Toman, newlyweds of Kitchener, spent the week -end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Metcalfe of Turnberry. Mr. and Mrs. Thos Magof- fin spent the past week in Lon- don at the home of his son, Lancelot. Mrs. Wm, Webster returned home on Thursday after spend- ing a week in Victoria Hospi- tal, having a cataract remov- ed from her right eye, Mr. J. Holmes of Clinton visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laidlaw. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Coup - land of Toronto have been spending their two weeks' vacation with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Chas. Robinson and with Wroxeter relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ashby of Tor- onto spent the week -end at the Robinson home. Tom Robin- son was in London last Wed- nesday fora check-up on his injured knee. Mr. John Boyle was able to return home from Victoria Hospital on Monday last. Mr, and Mrs. Clifford Sweit zer of Kitchener and Miss Mary Purdon and Miss Ann Rintoul spent last week on a tour through Pennsylvania and Washington, and all spent the week -end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Purdon and Mr. and Mrs, Wm, Rintoul, Mr. and Mrs, Wm, Lee of Toronto spent Sunday with Rintoul families in this district, Mrs. Thos, O'Malley spent a few days last week with her sister, Mrs, Edna Barr, and other relatives in London, Mrs. A, S. Wallace of Edinburgh, Scotland, has been visiting with her eousins, Mrs. Andrew Wilson and Mrs, Mer Phail, Mrs. Wallace came by plane, her first visit to Can- adian relatives, Mrs. Chas, Bain of Cale- , donia and Mrs, Clarence Lewis of Whitby, visited for a few days last week with the latter's father, Mr. F.
