Men are busy erecting a
high silo at Mr. Russell Pur-
don's barn this week,
Mrs. George Fisher, who
spent last week with her daugh-
ter. Mrs, Arnold Lougheed, at
their cottage at Lake Ossossan-
ne, returned home on Saturday
with Mr. and Mrs, Gordon Fish-
er of Owen Sound, who left on
Sunday by plane to visit with
friends at Dartmouth, Nova
Scotia.
Mrs. Roger Inglis and Mr.
George Inglis of Walkerton
visited on Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Bieman. Mr. and
RECEPTION HELD
FOR NEW MINISTER
ST. HELENS --On Friday
evening a reception service was
held in the St. Helens Church
for Rev. and Mrs. Tristram.
The service was in charge of
Rev. Vardy of Egmondville.
Rev. Herd from Gorrie,
representing the Huron Presby-
tery, addressed the congrega-
tion. Mr. R. Hibbert of Ford-
wich read the Scripture and
offered prayer. Mrs. Ted Rice
sang a solo.
A social hour was enjoyed
at the conclusion of the eve-
ning.
Gaunt Reunion
Held Saturday
WHITECHURCH--Over 60
members of the Gaunt family
gathered on Saturday at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell
Gaunt for a reunion. After the
rain cleared away contests and
games were enjoyed on the
lawn. Mrs, Elmer Foran, Mrs,
David Kirkland and Mrs. Irving
Reid, all of Lucknow, were in
charge of recreation.
Thomas Gaunt, a patient
at Brookhaven Horne, and Mrs.
Sam Durnin, at present in
Wingham Hospital, were miss-
ed this year. They have been
regular attenders at the gather-
ings in past years.
Mrs, Albert niernan and family
and Mr, and 1'rs. Mason Robin-
s= and family spent last week
at a cottage at ahamrockBeach,
at Kingsbridge.
Mrs. Jack Kelly of High
River, Alta.. as visiting at the
home of her brother, Mr. John
Boyle.
Mr, and Mrs. Richard De
Boer and family of Bluevale
visited on Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs, John De noer, Littlelanet
stayed to spend the week here
and attend the Bible school at
Mrs. Jas, Richardsons.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Sher-
wood, Gladys and Grant of
Olds, Alta., spent last week at
the home of his aunt, Mrs, W.
R. Farrier, and visited with
other relatives in Lucknow, Car-
low and Dungannon districts.

Carman Farrier and family of
Long Branch, Mr. and Mrs.
Clifford Farrier and family of
Kitchener, Mr, and Mrs, Russell
Farrier, Wingham, and Mr, and

held a family gathering with
Mr. and Mrs, Sherwood on Sun-
day at the Riverside Park, Wing -
ham,
Mr. and Mrs, Wm, Kennedy
of Marnoch were at Kitchener
Hospital on Friday to be with
her brother, Mr. Clifton Moore,
who had a serious heart attack
during the past week. Mr. and
Mrs. John Jelfs of Strathroy
visited on Monday with Mr, and
Mrs. Kennedy.
Mr, and Mrs, Don Dirstein
of Toronto spent the week -end
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Gaunt.
Mr, Ewart McPherson, who
has sold his farm to Mr. De -
Boer, held an auction sale on
Tuesday of his implements and
farm stock.
Mr. John Purdon is holding
his sale of farm stock and
implements at the farm this
Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Relison Fal-
coner, Barry and Paul of Sarnia,
spent the week -end with his
mother, Mrs. Cecil Falconer.
Mrs. Falconer and her sons
remained, the boys to visit
with their grandmother and Mrs.
Falconer to visit relatives in
Wingham, Toronto and Barrie,
Mrs. Mac Inglis of Highgate
Mrs. Jack Flannigan of Toronto
and Mrs. Alex Inglis have
been nursing Mr. Thomas In-
glis, who has been seriously
ill at his home in W. Wawan^
osh,
John Adams, son of Mr. and
Mrs, Robert Adams, was bit-,
ten in the throat by a hound
last Wednesday while visiting
at the home of his grandparents

has been a patient in the Wing -
ham Hospital,
