BADLY NAMED
Topeka, capital city of the
State of Kansas, derived its
name from an Indian word
meaning "a good place to dig
potatoes." No one has been
seen recently digging potatoes
in Topeka—in fact, the major
agricultural products of Kansas
are wheat, livestock and dairy
products.
A bewildered Englishman
wandered into an American
drug store and asked for a small
tube of toothpaste, The drug-
gist handed him a package
marked "Large," "1 askedikr
a small tube," " That's ri `
sir," was the answer. "It
comes in three sizes—Large,
Giant, and Super, I gave you
the small size—Large."
