Birthday money was donated by

or a trip. Plans were discussed

10th Anniversary
FORDWICH--The W. A. of
Trinity Anglican Church met
at the home of Mrs. Stan For-
ester. Mrs. Bruce Sothern read
the Scripture. Roll call was
answered with a favourite pray-
er by eleven members and four
visitors.
Mrs. Emmerson Ferguson re-
ported on the Deanery meeting.
Mrs. Lloyd Jacques gave the
history of the organization of
Trinity W.A. and plans were
made to celebrate the 70th an-
niversary in August.
Letters of thanks were read
from Missions at Cardston, Al-
berta, and Brantford, for bales
that had recently been sent.
Mrs. G. Anderson led in the
Litany.
Mrs. Norman Wade of Gor-
rie gave a synopsis from the
study book, "Church in the
Sixties". Mrs. Anderson closed
the meeting with prayer and
Mrs. Robt. Alien conducted
several contests.
Lunch was served by the
hostess, assisted by Mrs. Elsie
Strong and Mrs. Verna Gal-
braith.

Kicked by Horse
Boy in Hospital
WROXETER--An accident oc-
curred Saturday at the home of
Mr. Koblitz, 14th of Iiowick,
when his son Reuben, age about
12, and a brother were round-
ing up horses and one, presum-
ed to be the quietest, kicked,
striking Reuben in the side. A
doctor was called and it was
determined that he had three
broken ribs, After being taped
the boy was allowed to go
home.
Shortly afterwards Reuben
lapsed into a coma and the doc-
tor was called again. He had
him hastily removed to Bruce
County Hospital in Walkerton
where it was found his spleen
had been ruptured. The spleen
was removed. At last report he
was still on the critical list.
News of Wroxeter
Mr, and Mrs. Richard In-
gram were called to Beamsville
last week owing to the death of
Mrs. Ingram's brother, Mr,
Jack McEwen. The sympathy
of the community is extended
to Mrs. Ingram.
Miss Nettie Searson spent
the week -end with Miss Connie
Clarke.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hart,
Douglas and Dale of Oshawa,
were week -end guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Wm. Hart and Mr.

pite the drizzle, Good prices
were realized but the property
was not sold.

Holds Reunion
WROXETER--About'70 attend-
ed the 15th annual Edgar reun-
ion in the Gorrie Park on Satur-
day. Don and Alberta Ireland
and George and Edythe Gibson
were in charge of the races and
relays.
Elmer Potter of Clinton, pre-
sident, conducted a short busi-
ness period after the supper hour.
The 1963-64 president is Lewis
Stonehouse of Belgrave; vice
president, David Ireland of
Teeswater; secretary -treasurer,
Gladys Green of Goderich.
The sports committee for the
next reunion is Nelson and
Viola Haist of Toronto and
Harold and Betty Bell of Pres-
ton; lunch committee, Harvey
and Audrey Edgar, Wingham
and Edgar and Eleanor Dane of
Gorrie,
Nancy Darling of Wingham
was the youngest person present
and William Dane of Gorrie was
the senior member of the fam-
ily.

Wedding Gifts
FORDWICII--A presentation
and dance was held in the com-
munity hall, Fordwich, on Fri-
day night, in honour of Mr.
and Mrs. Ron Mann who were
recently married,
Wayne Johnson read the ad-
dress and the young couple was
presented with a TV chair,
stack tables and a smoking
stand. Ron and Carol thanked
everyone for their gifts.
Music was supplied for danc-
ing by Lorne Lambkin's orches-
tra.

Hold Meeting
FORDWICU--The Business
Men's Association held its
meeting in the bank building.
President Harry Lohr presided.
A report was given on the post
office and obtaining a doctor.
Mrs. Anson Demerling re-
presented the Centennial Parks
Committee at this meeting.
Ken Musclow of the Department
of Lands and Forests outlined the
procedure for obtaining assist-
ance for the park venture,
There has been no definite plans
for a park site reached as yet,
but much progress is expected
within the next month.

Guild Will Help
Purchase Mower
FORDWICH-- The June meet-
ing of St, Anne's Guild was held
at the home of Mrs. Alma Har-
grave. The meeting opened
with the Lord's prayer, follow-
ed by the Scripture reading ta-
ken from Acts, and read by
Mrs. Ann Armstrong.
A chapter from the study
book "Closed Doors", was read
by Mrs. Donna King. The presi-
dent, Mrs. Jean Sothern, then
welcomed the members and
guests. Roll call, a verse on
"Trinity" , was answered by 15
members.
The minutes of the last
meeting were read and approv-
ed. The members were re-
minded that they would be
cleaning the church on Thurs-
day, June 20th. It was decid-
ed any members who could
go early, could take lunch with
them and join in a pot luck
dinner. The members have
also been invited to a meeting
in Newbridge un June 20th, at
8:30 p.m.
It was moved by Mrs. Ann
Armstrong and seconded by
Mrs, Beatrice Jordan that the
Guild help pay for the purchase
of a lawn mower for the church.
It was learned the garden part,Y
was quite a success. The '+
members were reminded there
would be no meeting next
month.
It was moved by Miss Elva
Foster and seconded by Mrs.
Jocelyn Daunt that the Guild
purchase 12 new prayer books
for the church.
The members and guests
took turns at quilting during the
meeting.
The president closed the
meeting with prayer. Miss
Elva Foster then had some con-
tests for the members, Lunch
was served by the hostess and
Mrs. Grace Browne, assisted by
Mrs. Jean Sothern.
