91st Birthday
GORRIE--Best wishes to Mrs.
Frances Strong, who celebrated
her 91st birthday on May 17.
Mrs. Strong is able to be up
and around her home each day
and 'enjoyed the visitors, who
called to extend greetings.

GORRIE-- The Junior Auxil-
iary met on May 7 in St. Ste-
phen's Sunday school rooms,
with nine members present.
Dawna Bennett opened the
meeting with prayer. Collec-
tion was received and it was
decided that the next meeting
would be in the form of a pic-
nic, in Gorrie Park.
The study book was com-
pleted by Mrs. Anderson and
the girls. A game and sing-
song were enjoyed by all. The
meeting closed with prayer and
refreshments were served.

GORRIE--The May meeting
of St. Stephen's Evening W.A.
was held at the home of Rev.
and Mrs. George Anderson.
Mrs. Harry King gave a reading
"Glory of Springtime" in place
of the study book.
Mrs. Edward David read the
Scripture. The roll call was
the W.A, motto, "The Love of
Christ Constraineth Me" and
was answered by seven members
Two visitors were present.
Mrs. Anderson told interest-
ing highlights of the two days
of the annual diocesan meeting
held May 1 and 2 in London.
The members accepted an in-
vitation from St. Anne'sGuild
Fordwich, to hear Rev. J. H
Webster speak and show slides
on the Artic on May 28.
It was decided to have a
banker speak to the group at
the June meeting. Members
were reminded of the deanery
meeting, which will be held in
Goderich on May 21.
Rev. Anderson closed the
meeting with prayer. A sale of
plants, shrubs etc, was held.
Mrs. Vern Clark, Mrs. Ed-
ward David, assisted by the
hostess, served lunch.
