Co. recently introduced its 6800 Pickup Reel Control System for post -1979 200 and 900 Series John Deere Flex Heads. Now owners can update their exist- ing heads to match the performance of the latest models. This simple, inexpensive control enables the combine operator to posi- tion the pickup reel forward and back- ward up to 13 inches. The result is more crop harvested per acre. Wally King, company president., says the new cutter not only reduces the need for chemical spraying and burning, but is also capable of reducing the cost of clearing brush by about 30 per cent over traditional methods. Manufactured by Adanac Brush Cutter Manufacturing in Saskatchewan, the cutter is designed to cut and mulch material of up to 16 inches. The Timberwolf is available in a fully self-contained loader -mount model and a boom -mount model. The cutter heads, powered by 200 to 450 hp, range in size from 55 to 120 inches wide.
