400 acres of sunflowers are among the
crops on the IPM host farm this year.
TAKE A TOUR
For the first time at the IPM, tours
of the host county are being offered to
visitors.
There arc three basic types of
tours, says Carolyn Fuerth of the
County Tours Committee: a three-
hour driving tour with commentary,
visits to local farms, and general
interest tours.
Stops include Jack Miner's Bird
Sanctuary, Colasanti's Cactus and
Tropical Gardens, the Colio Winery,
the Harrow Research Station, Fort
Malden, and the Heritage Village.
Farm tours will visit greenhouses, a
tomato farm, a processing plant, a
grain terminal and soybean crushing
plant, and livestock operations.
