Congratulations to all the young people participating in
The Rural Voice Competition
On March 19 and 20, in 1914, 300 leaders from agricultural groups across
Ontario met in Toronto's Labour Temple and established two farm
organizations. United Farmers of Ontario was the social, educational, and
political arm while United Farmers Co-operative Company (UFCC) was the
economic arm of the agrarian movement. In 1948, UFCC was re -organized as
United Co-operatives of Ontario (UCO).
Since the United Farm Young People of Ontario was formed in 1919, the
development of Ontario's young people has been an important concern for
both UFCC and UCO.
