AIR -SEED SYSTEM
John Deere's new 777 system, when
combined with the new 610 or 1060
seeding tool, air -seeds small grains
without requiring an auxiliary engine or
a tractor with a power take -off. Instead
the system uses a hydraulic fan drive.
When coupled with a new 610 or
1060 seeding tool, the 777 system re-
places the 655 and 665 central metering
seeders, 775 and 785 air -hoe drills, and
the 770 and 780 air -disk drills.
The system is available in 110 bushel
or 160 bushel sizes in either tow -behind
or tow -between models. The tank carts
feature a 60-40 split for grain and fertil-
izer.
Tow -between and tow -behind carts
can be used with the 610 seeding tool for
seeders and hoe drills. Only tow -be-
tween carts are used with the 1060 seed-
ing tool for disk drills.
A tow -behind cart helps seed emer-
gence by eliminating seeding into cart
tire tracks, improves the view of the
seeding tool in operation and transport,
and makes the cart more accessible for
filling. A tow -between cart eliminates
the remaining tire tracks in the field.0
