WHAT'S NEW
KIDD INTRODUCES
BIG BALE CHOPPER
The latest development from Kidd
Farm Machinery is the Kobra, a big bale
chopper complete with blower tube at-
tached to a gantry, giving a discharge
height of approximately 9 ft. 9 in.
This new feature gives the operator,
without leaving his seat, directional
freedom in spreading material for land-
scaping, mulching, reaching restricted
areas, and filling mixer feeder wagons.
Available through Robert H. Laning
& Sons Limited of Waterford, Ontario,
the Kidd Kobra extends the company's
range of bale chopping and spreading
equipment.
For more information, contact the
company at 289 Leamon St., Waterford,
Ontario, NOE 1Y0, telephone 519-443-
8601.0
FORAGE COUNCIL
NAMES PRESIDENT
Tim Welbanks has been appointed
president of the newly formed Ontario
Forage Council.
Welbanks, who holds a degree in
crop science from the University of
Guelph, has been agronomy services
manager for Pioneer Hi -Bred Limited's
Chatham -based operations since 1985.
The Ontario Forage Council, created
earlier this year, represents and pro-
motes the interests of the forage industry
both provincially and nationally.
Although forages play a critical role
in modern agriculture, their full poten-
tial has been under -estimated, say or-
ganizers of the council.
The council's first major project was
an educational forum in Woodstock last
month.0
