HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE EXECUTIVE MEETING
OF THE HCFA, AUGUST 3, 1988
The Lambton County Federation
of Agriculture is holding a Social
Evening (dinner and dance) for the
five surrounding counties on August
26. Six couples from Huron plan to
attend.
A letter was received from
Joanne Sutherland, executive direc-
tor, OFA, announcing her resigna-
tion effective September 30, 1988.
Convention resolutions are to be
in to the OFA by September 30. Any
OFA member wishing to have a reso-
lution presented at the convention
should get it in to the HCFA office
before then.
PLOWING MATCH: Huron
County volunteers will be helping at
the IPM in the OFA booth on
Wednesday, September 21 in the
a.m. Volunteers were recruited for
this time.
Vice-president Chris Palmer
gave a short report on the Bruce
County regional meeting he had at-
tended. They are having problems in
their county with Humane Society
chapters. We are to contact the
county Court House to see if Huron
has any such groups and if there are
problems.
CONSTITUTION: The consti-
tution has not been revised since
October of 1978. Several changes
have been proposed. These will be
made final at the September 15
Regional Meeting.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Study Group Workshop: Paul Klopp
and James Armstrong were sched-
uled to attend the workshop at Clin-
ton Town Hall on August 4.v
