OPC FEATURES
WOMEN'S PROGRAM
The Ontario Pork Congress will
feature some new events this year a
fashion show, sessions on legal advice,
comedy presentations, and microwave
cookery demonstrations.
"By having a well-planned, enter-
taining, and informative program ar-
ranged this year, we are hoping to draw
women to the annual congress who
otherwise might not attend," says Carol
Rock, Ladies Program chairperson.
Among the special guests will be
Ottawa lawyer Judith Hendrin, author of
Cover your Assets — A Guide to Farm
Partnerships. She will discuss the bene-
fits of partnership agreements, how to
formalize a farm business structure,
accounting, insurance, and income tax.
Ohio comedian Pat Leimbach will
round out the day with anecdotes from
her books,A Thread of Blue Denim, All
My Meadows, and Harvest Bittersweet.
Day two of the congress events in-
cludes a fashion show with the theme
"Hello Summer."
The Thursday program will high-
light the latest in microwave cookery
from two cooking consultants.
Educational handouts, cookbooks,
and publications written by the guest
speakers will be available.0
