sand trees which have since provided
many hours of enjoyment for nature -
lovers.
All three trails leave from an area
at the back of the camping ground.
The 2 km. Blue path provides an
interpretive tour especially for chil-
dren to learn more about nature.
The trail leads from the area forest-
ed by Dr. Murray to the willow -lined
stream bank then through a wetland
area and on into an evergreen forest.
The path goes over some boardwalk
then enters a hardwood forest.
Later the trail leads back into a for-
est dominated by spruce and pine.
There's a path that leads to a small
pond surrounded by dogwood bushes
and willow trees then it's on to a white
spruce plantation. Finally there's an
area of quaking aspen, trembling in
the breeze and you're back where you
started.
For the really ambitious there is
also a hiking and cross-country ski
trail called the Loop Trail that takes in
a much wider area of the park and
covers a distance of 18 km.
