Townsman, 1991-07, Page 9This is what they mean
when they talk of small
town friendliness
The Pizza Train in Seaforth was nominated by Sandra Regele
of R.R.1, Dublin who said "This is the place that has the best
hamburgers with everything."
When they talk about small-town hospitality they're talking
about places like Scaforth's Pizza Train. There's an outgoing
welcome when you come in the door (at least there was on our
visit) and there's a comfortable banter with the regular cus-
tomers who come in the door. We were served by owner Bob
Fisher with a warm manner.
The Pizza Train has a bright, warm atmosphere, very clean
with plenty of pine wood and bright, illustrative signs. Pizza is
the name of the game here but there are plenty of alternatives.
There are plenty of tables for those who want to eat in.
The quarter -pound burger nicely fills the bun. lts patty was-
n't overly thick or juicy but had good flavour. The bun was
very fresh.
The burger was topped with thinly -sliced tomato,. fresh let-
tuce and thinly sliced pickle (we asked that the onion not be
included because we were on our way to the theatre).—KR
And the winners are...
Dozens of people introduced Townsman to four friencs in the last cou-
ple of months and cot, for themselves, a chance to win one of three
