Petreny comes to the corporation from the Livestock Branch of Sas- katchewan Agriculture where he was dairy production co-ordinator. Before graduating from the University of Sas- katchewan with a major in animal sci- ence, he worked on both commercial and purebred dairy operations. The Field Services division is vital to the on-farm aspect of ODHIC's serv- ice to about 7,000 Ontario dairy produc- ers. The division works to ensure qual- ity in the collection of milk weights and samples for component analysis and in the transportation of these samples to the two ODHIC laboratories. As director, Petreny will develop and administrate training programs for about 260 field staff, promote and mar- ket ODHIC services, and support the industry and Ontario Ministry of Agri- culture with their extension efforts.0
