The first all-new Tractors
from Case IH
MAGNUM means more. More power. More
comfort. More speeds. More durability. More
advanced design from headlights to hitch — that you
can translate into more efficient field work.
When you see and try one, you'll agree — the
new Case IH MAGNUM tractors were worth waiting
for.
They are the most modern engines in any
agricultural tractor. Lighter, quieter, stronger, more
compact — yet with 505 cubic inch displacement
(8.3L), they have 8% more displacement than the
leading competitor. MAGNUM tractor engines are
fuel efficient. Designed for multi -viscosity oils —
longer service intervals. They're much simpler, have
25% fewer parts. And they're easier to service on
the farm.
The MAGNUM line offers 130, 150, 170, and
195 PTO horsepower choices. These revolutionary
design engines are setting standards the industry
will follow tomorrow, while MAGNUM owners enjoy
the benefits today.
In powershift, too, MAGNUM means more. The
new number is eighteen. In a straight-line sequential
full powershift transmission that makes selection as
easy and smooth as possible.
Compare the MAGNUM tractors standard 18
speed powershift with the competitor's optional 15
speed (standard on model 4850). MAGNUM
provides 20% more speeds. And you can start this
power shift in any gear — go from forward to reverse
with no clutching. The MAGNUM tractor's range of
1.8 to 19.2 mph (with 20.8x38 R1 tires) includes
seven speeds between 3 and 8 mph for heavy
tillage, and six higher speeds for transporting and
roading. And if that isn't enough,
MAGNUM also offers an
additional six speeds from .5 to 2.1
mph in the industry's only full power -
shift creeper transmission.
The point to remember: In power -
shift performance — as in engine
design —Case IH MAGNUM tractors
have taken a strong lead.
