STEEN RENAMED
CEMA CHAIRMAN
Stan Steen, an egg producer from
Ariss, Ontario, has been appointed to a
second two-year term as chairman of the
Canadian Egg Marketing Agency
(CEMA).
Steen, who has served on the CEMA
board and on the Ontario Egg Producers
Marketing Board, has also been active
on the International Egg Commission
based in London, England.
The federal government appoints
two members of the agency's 12 -person
board of directors, the chairman and the
director -at -large. Other members are
selected by the provincial egg boards in
each province.0

N.Z. FUNDS BEEF
New Zealand has joined Australia in
providing funding for beef promotion in
Canada. A cheque for $57,605, repre-
senting the country's contribution for
the second half of the 1986/87 fiscal
year, was recently received. New Zeal-
and has committed full funding for
1987/88 based on their level of imports
into Canada.0
