opportunity to make crop insurance
more useful.
Winter canvasses have been good and
our membership is staying up.
OFA Directors: Clay Schwegler—
municipal waste issue critical. Ad
Hoc committee to be struck. OFA
directors to meet every other month as
a cost-cutting measure.
Committee Reports: Properties—
Witherspoon re building clause. The
insurance company has been asked to
waive the rebuilding clause. Proper-
ties committee to work on this prob-
lem as insurance company reluctant to
waive rebuild clause.
IPM County Committee — build-
ing, displays, parade, give -a -ways, and
volunteers planned. Clay needs
pictures of events, committees, etc, for
display. Several people have expressed
an interest in purchasing OFA build-
ing for match. Passes to match for
county committee to be looked into.
Herman Sandink to replace Murray
Kerr on committee. All townships
there pledged six volunteers for a day.
Home Beautification Committee —
200 entries, many prizes donated.
Insurance Committee — insurance
due March 1. The report recommended
the following: we have office
equipment insured for replacement
value; Mary to make inventory of
prices; if total value exceeds current
coverage we increase coverage to
current value. Don Hill moved we
accept insurance committee report,
seconded by Allan Kinney. Carried.
David Elliott, district manager, Co-
operators, would like to attend either
March or April meeting. Directors are
encouraged to have concerns to
Mitchell prior to Dave's visit so that
answers will be available.
Hydro — tingle voltage indicators
available at Hydro for a fee. Doug
Gowanlock suggests we should
encourage Ontario Hydro to be more
aggressive in solving problems of
tingle voltage. We need the support of
OFA. Clay Schwegler would be inter-
ested in receiving documented reports
of problems with tingle voltage since
he is on the Hydro sub -committee.
OPIP: re small hog operators.
Source and percentage of gross income
better to determine part-time farmers.
Use previous year's tax to establish
whether you can be part of the pro-
gram. Seems the program is pro large
commercial producers experiencing
financial difficulties. It is still under
discussion. Would like this board to
have Cream Producers contact all
small hog operators in Grey. Bill
Pullen moved, seconded by A. Oliver
to have Don Hill enter into nego-
tiations with Grey Cream Producers.
Resolutions to OFA: Resolution
from Grey South regional meeting
1985 re improving farm income being
OFA's first priority. This resolution
was passed at 1985 convention. Our
directors have inquired several times as
to what has happened with this
resolution. (Past) President Harry
Pelissero was asked and he indicated
that nothing was being done. Murray
Clarke to draft a letter to OFA exec-
utive or whomever.
OFA President: Elmer Scarrow
asked if it would be possible to have
an evening open to all to meet with
our new OFA president, Brigid Pyke.
Don Hill moved, seconded by Mitchell
Lundy, that Mary try to arrange a date
prior to our farmers getting back on
the fields this spring.
Our meetings committee was charged
with booking hall, etc. for evening
with Brigid, Meet the Members, and
Multi -County meeting.
Brief to Meet the Members to be
prepared ahead of time and in hands of
MPs and MPPs at least one week prior
to event. Moved by Elmer Scarrow
that Meet the Members be booked for
East Grey, late March, as a noon meal,
seconded by Irvin VanWyck.

or lst of April for: Grey, Bruce,
Wellington, Waterloo, Huron, Perth,
Dufferin, Simcoe. Lunch available,
with those attending paying for their
lunch. Possibly Centennial Hall,
