A glimpse of the
1999 International
Plowing Match
The slogan for the 1999 International Plowing
Match proved true the opening day as the sun
shone despite earlier predictions of showers.
Some of the sites: (top left) the Huron County
building features a mural of past IPMs in the
county and an incredible mosaic made from
products of the county. The OPP band Voices in
Blue entertain (top right). The horrible "fight bac"
from the Huron County Health Unit was part of the
parade (right). Children see chickens (lower right)
while an artificial pond adds a relaxing touch
(lower left). And of course the reason for it all —
plowing (middle left).
