Profile of a director BEA DAWSON, OFA Regional Director for Huron South As your South Huron Regional Director for a second term, I have found my position interesting, challenging and busy at times. I live at Lot 28, Conc. 7 in Usborne Township with my husband Murray. We farm with our son Brent, cash cropping canning peas, sweet com, and hay on approximately 650 workable acres, either owned or rented. We have another son, Larry farming in Elgin County near Springfield. He has approximately 300 hogs farrow to finish and 17,000 broilers. Until December 31, 1997 I was a Trustee on the Huron County Board of Education for 12 years, and a past Chair in 1992 and 1993. I am an active member in our community and church. I have met some very dedicated, clever and hard working people at the Federation's County and Ontario levels. You are fortunate to have these people working on your behalf. I hope I can also help in some way to make farming better in Huron, and Ontario.
