The official opening of the
combined OMAFRA and MNR
office in Clinton was April 30.
With the provincial cutbacks, the
Huron County Ministry of
Agricultural, Food, and Rural Affairs
(OMAFRA) and the Ministry of
Natural Resources (MNR) offices got
together to beat the problem.
As both ministeries had under-
utilized buildings since major cuts in
May 1996 and the MNR staff was
reduced to 12 from 40 since 1992 the
Wingham MNR personnel moved to
the Clinton OMAFRA office.
