The Rural Voice, 1996-10, Page 49PERTH rtk County Pork Producers NEWSLETTER 50th Anniversary celebrated Perth County Pork Producers celebrated 50 years as an association on September 15 in the Elma-Logan Recreation Complex in Monkton. Approximately 250 percent and past producers and spouses attended and enjoyed the social time, the program and the pork (what else) barbecue. Judging from the reactions of those in attendance the event was a resounding success. Congratulations to President Larry Skinner and his committee for a job very well done. RESIGNATIONS Karin Martin recently resigned as director and treasurer of our association. Thank you, and best wishes to Karin in the future. Director Jerry Krist has assumed responsibilities of the treasurer. FUTURE MEETINGS October 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Downie Mutual in Scbr ingville is the next Directors Meeting. Guest Speaker is Ed Clarkson. Ed is a program officer with Food Production and Inspection Branch of Agtriculture Canada. His topic is medication(s) in feed. All producers are welcome to attend. A new concept for the association Pork and Golf tournament held One hundred and thirty-one pork producers and friends registered for the 13th annual golf tournament at the Mitchell Golf Club. Perth Pork Producers Association wishes to compliment and thank manager Tim and staff of the golf club for their efforts in making the day a success. Special thanks to John Moore Insurance for providing the excellent burgers for lunch and to Farmix for providing the meat at the dinner.
