Get out of town with Perth Agri -Tourism
There's something exciting for
everyone to see in the heart of
Ontario in Perth County! Perth Agri -
Tourism is trying some new things
this year. We have had some great
coverage in numerous magazines this
past year.
The Monday tours this year are
designed with the hope of having
local people being Tourists for a Day.
Every Monday a bus with tour guide
KcIIy Nicholson will pick you up at
either the Information Centre on
York Street, the Victorian Inn or the
Festival Inn. Departure time is 9:00
a.m. Each Monday you will visit two
different farms, have a lunch with a
local institute or restaurant and tour
local attractions. Tours run from July
1st to October 7th, 1996 and visit St.
Marys, Mitchell, Listowel,
Shakespeare and places in between.
The cost is 519.95 per person, S15.95
for children 12 and under. To
purchase your ticket contact Tourism
Stratford at 1-800-561-7926 or 273-
3352. A great way to tour visitors,
grandchildren or a group of friends.
We hope you will try it.
Sunday, October 6, 1996 is the
date to mark your calendars for our
Third Annual Harvest Day Tour. We
are hoping to have the tour east of
Stratford and look forward to having
a variety of commodities represented.
Please contact Kelly if you are
interested in having your farm one of
the stops for this great event.
Perth County Federation of
Agriculture has put a billboard up
across from the Perth County Co-op
in Stratford, and it will be moved in
two months to the board near TSC.
Be sure to look at it. It looks great
and states "IF YOU ATE TODAY
THANK A FARMER". Kirk Rankin

Director resigns
At the May executive meeting we
accepted the resignation of Kelli
Crowley, 2nd Vice President from
our Board. Kelli has taken a career
change and we wish her well. We
know from the dedication and
thoroughness she has shown in her
work for the Federation locally and as
a Provincial Director for Perth
Central she will do well. Thanks
Kelli for the time. Good luck.°
