Luckhardt is a past councillor of Sydenham Twp., past president of the Wiarton Agricultural Society, former director of the Grey -Bruce UCO and Bruce County and Grey County milk committees. He is currently a director for north Grey on the Ontario Plowmen's Association and is a member of the Christian Farmers of Ontario.
