Politicians and other adversaries have experienced
just how tough Karl Braeker can be when he's
fighting for agriculture and the rural way of life.
When one hear's of the life he has led, from
boyhood in Nazi
Germany to
working in an
Ontario mine,
that toughness is
easy to under-
stand. Merle
Gunby profiles
the remarkable
life of a Grey
County farmer
who has devoted
so much to his
community.

THE MAGAZINE OF THE AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY
Many service clubs have fundraising events, but Chesley
Kinsmen Club's Agrifair is a unique way of bringing country
and town togethr. Over the 12 years of its history, the show
has raised $200,000 which the club has put to work for
community betterment. At the same time the Agrifair has
provided a chance for farmers to get information and farm
dealers to meet potential customers.
