The Rural Voice, 1995-01, Page 9BODMIN WINS PREMIER EXHIBITOR AWARD Royal Agricultural Winter Fair - SEEDSTOCK National Market Hog Classic Bodmin pigs performed and placed very well at this year's show held in Toronto during November. Kate and Elizabeth Procter's entries rated high visually and after including performance points, Kate's entries had the most points overall. She was awarded Premier Exhibitor Award for the entire show. Elizabeth's entries placed second behind Kate. Bodmin has won this award 7 of the last 8 years. There were 36 exhibitors showing 182 pigs and 36 carcasses. RAWF RESULTS Kate Procter Champion — Pair of Gilts 3rd — Single 3rd — Group of Three 12th — Carcass Pictured is Jennifer Smith with Kate's Champion Pair of Gilts. With her is John Dent of Fearman's who purchased the pair. That is about two weeks faster to market with about the same index. JUNIOR BARROW SHOW Jennifer Smith, daughter of Phil & Jane Smith, showed 2 barrows which placed 6th and 9th out of 113 entries in the Junior Barrow Show. PROVEN GENETICS TODAY.
