about 1894.
Dedicated volunteers give tours
through the home Monday through
Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
and takes special bookings for group
tours by appointment. No admission
is charged but donations are
appreciated, with $10 donations
receiving a membership in the Billy
Bishop Heritage, "an incorporated
group of volunteers interested in
maintaining and preserving the
memory of one of Canada's finest air
aces".
The year 1994 marks the
centennial of BiIIy Bishop's birthday
and there are special events planned,
Dr. Robert Graham, former Chairman
of the Billy Bishop Heritage,
explains. "Canada Post has issued a

The Victorian -style house contains

ooks.
The Billy Bishop Heritage Support
Troup, made up of ladies in the area,
s working on its third quilt,
epresenting Bishop's 15 medals.

he age of young people in the family.
Be sure to take a trip back in
anada's history of proud military
involvement. The museum displays
hometown pride in one of Canada's
famous sons with careful attention to
detail.
A day at the museum again calls
for family fun and more physical

Become certified in chainsaw operation. Ontario Regulation 107 of the Industrial Safety Act
effective October 1/89 states that anyone operating a chainsaw and selling forestry products
must be certified or accredited. It is recommended that anyone who operates a chainsaw and
handles wood become certified as a cutter. Certification is required by law for anyone cutting
and selling forestry products. This course will be led by a qualified instructor trained by the
Forest Products Accident Prevention Association.
