HOW DOES THE G.S.I. SYSTEM WORK?
1) Grain is loaded into the upper
4)
chamber of the bin, and
dried as a batch.
2) When the grain is dry,
the burner automatically
shuts off.
The operator lowers the dump
chutes with a winch, and the
grain falls to the lower part of
the bin for cooling/storage.
The dump chutes are cranked
closed and another batch is
loading into the drying
chamber.
WHY IS A TOP DRY A BETTER INVESTMENT
THAN A STIRRING MACHINE?
1) LOWER OPERATING COSTS
• Uses much less fuel because it recycles cooling
air through the drying zone
• No gear boxes, motors, or bearings inside the bin
• 100% galvanized construction inside and outside
2) FASTER DRYING
• 2 to 3 times faster per horsepower than a stirring machine because of lower
grain depth (30")

summer weekend S1,400 worth of
products of Sarah's Country Kitchen
(named after her youngest daughter,
Sarah) will be snapped up. The Moirs
will he baking until 2:30 Saturday
afternoon, to replenish the supplies
for Adam's counter. From the hectic
kitchen flows an endless steam of
breads, cinnamon and sticky buns,
cakes, pies (likely about 70 a week),
biscuits, cookies, squares and tarts.
Other days the kitchen will be filled
with the sweet smells of jams and
jellies cooking. Moir has a full line,
some from fruit grown and picked by
the family, some from commercial
growers in the arca.
Business is so brisk, some
buyers now phone ahead to

when she was a little late getting the
booth open, her sister-in-law had
people knocking at the door
wondering where the baking was.
Recently Adam was surprised to see
a stretch limousine pull up and the
passenger get out and select a large
order.
Asked the secret of her success
Moir professes to be baffled.
Obviously part of the success comes
from good products but hard work
and good fortune also play a part.
With a young family of live children
and striving to set up their own farm,
Debra and her husband Stcphcn have
taken various avenues to raise

money. Stcphcn works off the farm
for a feed company. The entire
family rises at 4:30 a.m. to gather
eggs at a nearby poultry farm.
So it was natural that Debra
should turn to the kitchen as a way of
earning extra money. At first she sold
through a fanners market in Strathroy
but when another baker arrived and
began cutting into her sales, she
ended up bringing too much of her
production back home again. Her
husband suggested she set up in the
shed in Ivan to try to sell the
leftovers on Saturday afternoon.
Motorists began stopping and quickly
