Cooper Executive Director George Morris Centre University of Guelph IPM impressive Impressive! That's the word I use to describe the 1993 International Plowing Match in Bruce County. It all started with the many well- positioned directional signs, then the excellent parking facilities and atten- dants, then the fast and efficient way the public was transported to the en- trance gates. Within the tented city, all was well laid out with the service roads and pedestrian avenues kept separate to ensure free movement and safety for all. And lots to see, a nice variety of large and small farm and related equipment and machinery, rural and urban exhibits and demonstrations, some livestock and fun activities such as the lumberjack show (Poulan) and the chainsawing-against-stopwatch competition (Stihl). It was well worth $10 for an enjoyable experience at this year's IPM. I'm a long time rural resident, though not a farmer, and I would recommend attendance to an IPM for everyone, pot just those directly in- volved in the farming community.
