Funding for HEART extended!!
Funding for Huron Emergency
Agricultural Response Team
(HEART) which was to end March
31, 1993, was extended with an
additional $15,000 being granted.
This brings the total funds available
from the Enhanced Counselling and
Emergency Assistance Program to
$35,000, for use in Huron County.
To date nine farm families have
received approximately $10,500 in
Huron county.
In addition to the funds from the
Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and
Food, seven pigs were donated, fully
processed, and distributed by the
/luron farm groups spoke to members of parliament Paul Klopp (standing) and
Murray Cardiff (foreground) at the annual briefing March 27 in Clinton. Also

Committee wishes to thank Wayne
Fear for his extremely generous
donation.
The HEART committee is an ad
hoc temporary committee struck to
provide emergency assistance for
farm families through the winter of
1993 in response to the difficult crop
year of 1992. The committee will be
winding down after June 30, 1993
once funds are dispersed or unused
funds returned to OMAF.
Up to June 30, 1993 farm families
unable to meet basic living
requirements can access up to $1000
per month for two months. The funds
can be applied for by phoning: Huron
