SURFACE PREPA-
RATION MACHINE
Polyquip's surface preparation ma-
chine features heavy-duty construction
with a full 8" cutting width. Two drum
diameters are available: 4" for light-
duty work and 6" for heavy-duty work,
combined with a hexagonal bar drive
for non -slip in full production use.
Cutting depth adjustment is quick
through the use of the trapezoidal
thread to allow fine cutting control.
Adjustable handle, heavy-duty wheels
and wide positive drive belt provide the
user with more effective performance.
This machine can be used for deep
grooving, removal of concrete surface
coatings, traffic line removal and re-
moval of roof materials. Applications
are varied for construction, industrial
and marine purposes — such as remov-
ing rust surfaces from ships — as well
as for use in food processing plants.
The selection of cutters helps in the
effectiveness and speed of the job per-
formed.
A larger, more powerful model with
12" cutting width is also available.

NEW ROLLANT
ROUND BALER
The new Rollant 42 Round Baler
from Claas of America, Columbus, IN,
produces dense 4' x 4' bales that with-
stand the weather, reducing spoilage
and increasing the amount of edible
hay. Fixed chamber design and a spiral
chamber with steel dimpled rollers
ensures continuous bale rotation. The
result is a bale with a firm centre and a
dense outer shell that retains its shape
and quality during transport or after
long storage.
Effective in smaller livestock op-
erations, the Rollant 42 has no belts and
is simple to maintain and operate. The
baler is equipped with a 62 -inch wide

pick-up for efficient, clean pick-up and
a crop guard to ensure an even flow of
material into the bale chamber. Twine -
wrapping mechanism can be set to
automatically wrap bale 13, 16 or 20
times to adapt to crop being harvested.
Other features include a signaling
device that indicates when the bale is
formed and a narrow profile drawbar
which allows the Rollant 42 to make
tight turns. Options include hydraulic
pick-up lift that allows the pick-up to be
operated from tractor seat, a gauge
wheel and short crop feed plate.
