HURON DELEGATES AT OFA CONVENTION
The annual Ontario Federation of Agriculture Convention, held November 25 to
27 at the Meadowvale Delta in Mississauga, was well -attended by OFA members
from all the regions. These two tables were occupied by Huron county delegates.

RESOLUTION PASSED
The following resolution was passed at
the Huron County Federation of Agri-
culture member meeting on December
4:
Whereas the Goderich-Exeter Rail-
way Company Limited has applied to
the Ontario Municipal Board for ap-
proval to operate a railway line between
Goderich and Stratford, Ontario and
between Clinton and Centralia, Ontario;
and whereas the federal laws gov-
eming the public railway under the
National Transportation Agency re:
their existence and upkeep will no
longer apply to a private line;

and whereas the Province of Ontario
has no mechanism for dealing with the
maintenance of any railway crossings.
Therefore we hereby request the
Ontario Municipal Board to recognize
all the existing farm crossings on the
above-mentioned railway line, and pro-
vide for their maintenance.
The hearing on this topic was held
Friday, December 20 at the Seaforth
Town Hall. Our president, Brenda
McIntosh, and other executive members
planned to attend to speak to the resolu-
tion. (This report goes to press before
