The Rural Voice, 1991-10, Page 43NEWS MINIMUM WAGE TO INCREASE Ontario's general minimum wage will be increased to $6 per hour as of November 1, 1991, Ontario's Labour Minister Bob McKenzie announced. The announcement is part of the govern- ment's anti -poverty strategy. The an- nouncement is a move towards a target level for the minimum wage to reach 60 per cent of the average industrial wage by the year 1995.
