The main topic of discussion was thc "stable funding proposal," since thc regional directors were to vote on this at the OFA directors meeting in Toronto in mid-June. Several opinions were voiced both for and against. One director stated that with OFA 's large numbers, OFA should 'represent all farmers. This does not mean that all farmers must belong to OFA. Another director was nervous about this being a mandatory fee. He felt the organization needs to gain the mem- bers' trust. Several were of the opinion that we cannot keep rejecting OMAF's proposal expecting a perfect draft. Paul Verkley moved, seconded by Burnell Kipfer, that our directors sup- port the "stable funding proposal" at the OFA meeting. This was carried with three opposed.
