NUHN BIO -TECH
HELPS MILKHOUSE
WASTE PROBLEM
Nuhn Bio -Tech of Stratford, now in
its seventh year of biological waste
treatment, has devoted considerable
effort over the past four years to the
development of a product to help with
the rising concerns of milkhouse waste
on dairy farms.
Nuhn has worked in co-operation
with the labs that produce waste treat-
ment bacteria and enzymes, as well as
two drain maintenance companies that
have the technology to monitor such
products' performance with in drain
video inspection cameras.
The result is the Bio -Safe system, a
stabilized liquid that when applied
through the fully automatic dispenser
that is provided, will keep most types of
milkhouse waste systems operating
trouble free. Bio -Safe is approved by
Agriculture Canada's Food Production
and Inspection Dept., and can be used in
a food preparation area.
Nuhn plans to market the Bio -Safe
system through dairy supply compa-

CHANGES HANDS
Jack Schildroth, president and new
owner of Agro Trend of Clifford, has
announced the appointment of Oscar
Ducharme as general manager.
Ducharme has over 20 years of expe-
rience in manufacturing, fabrication,
and sales of agricultural products, and
has held a number of senior positions
with companies with similar product
lines.
Glen Small, the former owner of
Agro Trend, will remain with the com-
pany as sales and service manager.
Agro Trend manufactures sprayers,
dump trailers, snow blowers, and re-
lated agriculture products.
