Jack Wilkinson and his wife Julie, along with their five children, operate a family farm in Northern Ontario.0 NEW CHANCELLOR FOR UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH Lincoln Alexander, lieutenant -gov- ernor of Ontario, has been named the university's sixth chancellor. Alexan- der's election by Senate was announced February 26 by president Brian Segal. Senate commended Alexander's distin- guished and extensive record of public service in many sectors of Canadian society, including youth and education. Alexander was first elected to the House of Commons as the member of parliament for Hamilton West in 1968 and won four successive federal elec- tions. The new chancellor has received numerous honours, including honourary doctor of laws degrees from the University of Toronto, McMaster University, the University of Western Ontario and York University. More than 150 arts, science, sports and chari- table organizations have gained an honourary patron in Alexander since he became lieutenant -governor in 1985.0 ODHIC BOARD ELECTS EXECUTIVE Bob Ross of St. Marys was elected chairman and John McCallum of Bradford was elected vice chairman of the Ontario Diary Herd Improvement Corporation at a recent board meeting. Mr. Ross had previously served as vice chairman of the board for three years. He is a director for zone 1. Mr. McCal- lum, a Holstein breeder, is beginning his second term as director for zone 3.0
