Landscaping for the Environment April 10 & 17 (7:30 - 10:00 p.m.) Fee: $20
This course is designed for home -owners, landowners, and farmers. The course provides ideas on ways to save a
natural environment and how to plant a landscape to attract wildlife and birds. Topics include: forestry, erosion
control, planting wild flowers, indigenous trees and shrubs.

Nutritional Care Manual Update April 10 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) Fee: $50
This special one -day workshop describes recent revisions to the (1982) Diet Manual used in health care. The
Nutritional Care Manual of 1989 contains several new and expanded sections to reflect research findings in the field of
nutritional care management. Many diets have been substantially revised. This update focuses on diets pertinent for
the working knowledge of the Food Service Supervisor. This session is considered a valuable in-service training for
FSM graduates.

Care of Horses' Hooves April 20 & 27 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) Fee: $50
Two days of instruction and demonstration intended for horse stable owners and managers, recreational riders,
and beginning trainers. Includes discussion of mobility of the limb, detection of soundness and lameness in the leg,
practice in trimming the hoof, and shoeing techniques.
