CONSERVATION IN THE NEWS
Huron Soil and Water Conservation District held a Field Day at the Feagan farm near
Benmiller. From left: Peter Feagan, Hugh Feagan, speaker Davis Veil, Ministry of
Environment, Paul Feagan, speaker Robert Bedgood from the Middlesex Federation
of Agriculture, and Jack Kroes, chairman of the Soil and Water Conservation
District.
In 1949, Irwin Lobsinger and Henry Bates co-sponsored the activities that led to the
formation of the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority 40 years ago. Meeting at
the anniversary celebrations hcld at the SVCA headquarters, from left: Stuart

Wilmot.
DISTRICT 91 SALES AWARD WINNER
A group from H. Nicholson and Son, Bou -uratic dealer at Tara, travelled to
Wisconsin to receive three awards: highest district sales volume, highest sales over
