PCFA annual meeting elects new president
The Perth County Federation of
Agriculture Annual Meeting was held
on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the
Mitchell Golf and Country Club.
Scholarships were presented to
Robert Anwender and Evan Raycraft.
Matt Ross and Kaitlin Worden were
unable to attend. Our Annual
Recognition Award was presented
jointly to John Wilkinson, MPP Perth
Middlesex and Kathleen Wynne, MPP
Don Valley West, for their help in
raising the profile of Agriculture to
Members of Provincial Parliament
through Agriculture -101 in Perth
County.
Elections were held for OFA
Regional Directors and Delegates to
OFA Convention with the following
results. Perth South/West: Regional
Director — Bert Vorstenbosch;
Delegates to Convention — Agnes
Denham, Mary McIntosh and Tim
Shute. Perth East: Regional Director —
Burnell Kipfer; Delegates to
Convention — Larry Biesinger, Ed
Danen and Ivan Stueck. Perth
North/West: Director — Andy DeVries;
Delegates to Convention — Bernice
Kelly, Robert Martin and Brent Royce.
Elections were held for positions for
the County Federation of Agriculture
with the following results. President —

MOTION MADE NOT TO
ENCOURAGE CLOSING OF
SNOWMOBILE TRAILS
At the PCFA Directors meeting on
November, 16 the directors passed a
motion stating that "Perth County
Federation of Agriculture will not be
encouraging their members to restrict
access to their land for snowmobile
trails."
A motion was also passed to
endeavour to educate the snowmobile
associations and the general public as to
the frustrations in the Agricultural
Community.°
