She also won as champion showperson and as top senior competitor. Two 4 -Hers from midwestern Ontario were among the leaders when the Gencor Challenge, east and west divisions, were held in July. Top intermediate competitor was Mitchell Kieffer of Bruce while Bruce County won the premier county award. Steve Squibb of Perth County tied with Greg Kuepfer of Oxford as winners of the quiz. Katie Hill of Grey won the champion showperson and the champion calf award over 153 other 4-H dairy club members at Gencor Challenge East held at Markham arena, July 27-28. Top intermediate competitor was Evan Blanchard from Grey. Grey also won the best exhibit award. Alexandra Walker of Wellington County was both the top senior competitor and overall grand champion. Paige Burgess of Wellington was top junior competitor.0 Crusading farmer seeks to help Russian doctors Blyth farmer Stephen Webster, who made headlines for the Grassroots movement by camping out in his car at Queen's Park, has taken up a new challenge. Webster recently hosted Dr. Andrey Yuryevich Goldyrev at his farm and met with local MP Paul Steckle and MPP Carol Mitchell in an effort to cut the bureaucratic red tape necessary for the neurologist and his wife Olga, a specialist in pediatrics, to immigrate from Omsk, Siberia to western Ontario to set up a practice. "The doctor shortage crisis is only going to get worse," Webster said. "You can build million -dollar clinics but it doesn't matter if you don't have doctors. We can make the impossible happen."O
